Essential ain’t Martins

So, three kits have been sent out to three adventurous and amateur couturiers. I am very excited about this obviously. I have been on a bit of a learning curve myself, getting to grips with new software has been challenging for me. I hope that the guides in the ‘making instructions’ catagory are clear and easy to follow. The dresses that have been sent out are in wool crepe with satin trims, They are very 1960′s. It will take a while to increase the amount of styles available, and indeed the sizes on offer. I am looking into size grading techniques, time is precious and I am discovering just how much work is involved in this project. Each kit will need its own ‘making instructions’ so I’ll also be working on a generic set that covers most eventualities. Depending on feedback from whoever takes up the offer/challenge. It should be possible, and less paper dependent to have everything available for download only (unless requested otherwise). Online could be all sorts of guides for thrilling finishes on chiffon, button gimps, bias binding, rouleaux loops etc. Who needs college and what do they teach you anyway? Gadzooks! It’s all here
It’s all so very exciting. I’m eagerly awaiting the kit, and a little bit nervous about the whole thing, being an amateur and all. The instructions online are very clear though, so I’m sure I’ll be fine.
